Michelle Curry
is the lead manager and developer of The Citizens Campaign Civic Trusts. S
he has extensive experience in our programs having been a longtime voluntee
r member of The Citizens Campaign community serving as a Newark Civic Trust
ee. She has a wealth of experience working with economically disadvantaged
and minority populations, strongly advocating for their rights in the healt
h and housing arenas. Her fervent belief in the positive rewards of communi
ty service is also evidenced in her long-term volunteer service as Executiv
e Director of the Althea Gibson Foundation/Community Tennis Association. Sh
e has a B.A. from Rutgers University, a Master’s in Public Administration f
rom Ashford University and is presently completing her PhD in Nonprofit Man
agement and Leadership with a thesis on ‘Closing the Civic Engagement Gap.’
